3 easy ways to prepare a sweet potato

Sweet potato is one of my most favorite side dishes and carb options, due to it´s taste, energy values and variety of options how to prepare it. You can use different seasonings, so that each time you have a different dish, and you can also use different way to cook it.



Here´s few of them.


1. Sweet potato chips


Just cut the potato in chips, salt it and fry in a pan or bake it in the oven. Both are really really good. When baking in the oven, bake in on + - 200°C on the baking paper. The chips are done very quickly, but I never measure the time, I just check when they start to brown. The salt with sweetness of the potato is super tasty, but you can do the same with no salt too. You can add any seasoning you like ( I like sweet potato with ginger, pepper, also cinnamon... Really yummy! Try it :)




2. Sweet potato in the oven


Super quick prep if we bake the whole potato. Just pierce it with a fork a few times. Bake on + - 200°C on the baking paper. This takes little longer, till the potato is cooked inside. The potato peel will give it little more flavor. Try to dip your fork in it if it´s ready yet. When done, cut in pieces and do not eat the peel :-)




3. Microwave it


The best option if you need to save some time meal prepping. Place the quarters of potato in a piece of paper towel and microwave it for 6-10 minutes. The paper will create a steam and will cook the potato perfectly.

Check one quickly if it´s done and if needed, leave it there for few more minutes.
